I’m always touched when people take a moment to send their thanks. Here are some of the lovely words that have been shared with me.
“Janet, I want to thank you for everything. From our first contact, you were very generous with your time to help design the most fitting ceremony.
You were very kind, committed and patient in helping me map out what I wanted for the service and listened very carefully and compassionately when I spoke about my husband.
It was great to meet with you and thank-you for the follow-up calls to speak and share ideas. It is such a raw and difficult time that it is important to have the right people to guide you and accompany you on that journey, and Janet, you were perfect- emotionally intuitive, wise, and structured in your approach.
With your great attention to detail, you clearly understood that finding the right words and tone really mattered, so that we had a wonderful ceremony for J. Thank you also for finding the Buddhist blessing.
Thank-you for the way you delivered the ceremony. You were very calm and composed from the moment we arrived at the crematorium. This was exactly what I needed, given there was a 15-minute delay due to traffic issues.
I felt you had everything under control, you were reassuring, and you introduced yourself to the other speakers.
You really rose to the occasion. You had real poise in the service itself – a great public speaker.
You delivered the service beautifully, with the right blend of authority and warmth, and you projected your voice so well. Everyone was listening attentively and they all laughed at the right bits of “A Life Remembered”. The rest of the ceremony flowed and was well-structured. Everyone commented to me afterwards how amazing and moving the service was.
It has been a pleasure working together with you to create a fitting and elegant ceremony to honour J. I don’t know what I would have done without you.
I say this, even though it was the most difficult and stressful time of my life.
I had many people say how brilliant you were as a celebrant in the days and weeks after the funeral. I would recommend you to anyone. Thank you so much.”

Thanks very much for leading my mum’s ceremony. What a perfect event it was. Thank you for helping us make it so personal. It was the perfect blend of heartfelt and joyful. I came across your profile online and I was drawn to the fact that you are a linguist because my brother and I also are and I always think learning other languages helps you to understand people better and shows an interest in getting to know people. I also liked the fact that you have counselling training which made me feel like you’d provide a safe space for us to share our memories and feelings. And you absolutely did! When you came to my parents’ house you held space for us and enabled a lovely open sharing atmosphere and we got some lovely content for the ceremony. And then following that, you were great and responsive, flexible but also providing the structure we needed to create a beautiful ceremony. Thanks so much!”

You are amazing at what you do and from the moment we first spoke I felt you were the right person for the job! You really listened to my thoughts, wishes and memories of Mum and the tribute really summed up everything that was important to me.
